jite - limerence (Official Video)

LA based, Nigerian heritage artist jite returns with “limerence,” a hazy R&B release that sits in the tender space between devotion and doubt.

Gliding over atmospheric textures, mellow drum breaks, and a rolling bassline, her warm, close vocals feel quietly confessional. The track captures the spiral of questioning love and the ache of wondering whether someone loves you for who you are or simply for the comfort of having someone there.

The title emerged organically during a studio session with producer Charlotte Reed, when the word clicked both sonically and emotionally, perfectly summing up the feeling at the heart of the record.

A VHS style visual shot across Los Angeles mirrors the song’s nostalgic pull, moving through glowing streets and intimate moments that heighten its sense of longing.

Following earlier releases including “isolation,” “poison / wrapped around my heart,” and “omw!,” jite continues to refine her blend of R&B and pop with clarity and intention. “limerence” feels like another confident step toward a defining moment.
