19 year-old singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sahej delivers an intimate and emotionally charged offering with his latest single, ‘Not Yet’, a beautifully atmospheric exploration of fear, vulnerability and finding the strength to keep moving forward.

Born from frustration after abandoning a song he had spent months perfecting, ‘Not Yet’ emerged organically through a simple guitar progression and the powerful admission, “I’m not ready”. Blending delicate acoustic guitar, gentle piano, sweeping strings and layered vocals with understated percussion and ethereal production, the track showcases Sahej’s ability to transform deeply personal emotions into something universally relatable. Drawing comparisons to the introspective sounds of Joji, Keshi and Billie Eilish, his understated delivery brings an additional layer of sincerity to the record.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the track, Sahej explains: “It’s a testament to the fears I have accumulated throughout my life, and the fact that my purpose will not change no matter how afraid I am.”

Currently studying Neuroscience at the University of Michigan, Sahej balances his musical ambitions with a fascination for human emotion and experience.
