Mr. Käfer - Routines (Single)

Mr. Käfer is ready to drop his most ambitious - and may we say best? - album yet! Born in Salzburg, the half Algerian/half Austrian producer has been an integral part of Cologne’s beat scene for a while (he actually moved here for an internship at MPM while studying music in Austria).
On A Past Sense, Käfer takes his lush jazz beat sound to new levels by blending soul and hip-hop with North African grooves. On his 14 track journey, Käfer is accompanied by a fine team of international vocalists and musicians including Novine (Berlin), Cloudhead (Vienna), Kenji (Las Vegas), Flitz&Suppe (Cologne), J.Tek (Maryland), Leavv (Cologne), Franz Bumm (Vienna), Malev Da Shinobi (Salt Lake City), Christian JaLon (Chicago), and YAN NAY (Vienna).
Thematically, the album explores how memory reshapes identity, "inspired by reflecting on the shifting essence of creation – what’s stayed, what’s changed, and how memory continues to shape both life and music," as Mr. Käfer says. The artwork comes courtesy of Robert Winter and Jeremias Diekmann, capturing this nostalgic-yet-progressive spirit.
