FloFilz ft: Nao Yoshioka - Insomnia (Single)

"Insomnia" is the fifth single from FloFilz’ forthcoming album Hagaki, featuring Japanese soul singer Nao Yoshioka. Born in Osaka, Nao has worked with artists such as Reuben James, Nappy Nina, Shuko, and Takuya Kuroda. She has captivated audiences worldwide, from the iconic Blue Note New York and London Jazz Café to major festivals across Asia, the USA, Australia, and Europe.

FloFilz says: "Nao and I met during my Tokyo travel last autumn, we realised that we have some friends in common and met for a coffee and chat, followed by a visit at Nao's favourite and delicious soup curry shop. Some days later we started working on a track at her home studio which ended up being 'Insomnia'. Once the session was done, Nao showed me around the neighbourhood of Shimokitazawa some more, passing an oldschool sweet potato vendor and ending at the viewpoint where the picture of us was taken."

Hagaki will be released on Gatefold LP featuring a 20-page photo book, available on classic black and limited edition orange vinyl. In addition, fans and collectors can look forward to a special 28-page Riso-printed photo zine by long-time collaborator Robert Winter, documenting the visual narrative of the album’s creation and inspirations.
