Ady Suleiman - What If (Single)

Ady Suleiman Returns With New Single “What If” Ahead of Forthcoming Album Chasing.

Singer songwriter Ady Suleiman has shared his new single “What If”, taken from his upcoming album Chasing, due out on 16 January. The track dives into moments of self doubt and insecurity, with Ady reflecting on feeling out of place both socially and romantically. Wrapped in a smoky, jazz tinged production from Miles Clinton James (whose credits include Little Simz and KOKOROKO), it captures that familiar tug of uncertainty that runs through much of Ady’s work.

“What If” follows his earlier single “Miracle”, with both songs touching on Ady’s emotional and mental battles, themes he has never shied away from. By putting these experiences front and centre, he continues to create the kind of connection that keeps listeners close.

After a short hiatus, Ady has been steadily re emerging this year with a run of singles including “Miracle”, “Never Meant To Hurt You” featuring Kofi Stone, and “Brother”. Chasing looks set to be his most personal project to date. Written between London and Zanzibar, the album explores love, identity, mental health and heritage, marking a confident new chapter that reconnects him with his Swahili roots.

For Ady, music has always been more than a pastime. Growing up in Grantham, where creative outlets felt limited, he found escape in a gifted guitar and later a Jimi Hendrix compilation that broadened his world. After moving to Liverpool to study music, gigging became his proving ground. Early viral moments including stripped back performances of “What’s The Score” and “Stay At Mine” hinted at his potential, soon backed by co signs from Liam Bailey and Chance The Rapper.

A record deal, EPs, a debut album and a sold out Electric Brixton show followed. Now, over a decade into his journey, Chasing feels like a reintroduction: honest, expansive and rooted in everything that has shaped him so far.
