SABRI - What I Feel Now (EP)
Amsterdam born singer songwriter SABRI has unveiled her new EP What I Feel Now via EMPIRE, a soulful, emotionally charged collection that cements her as one of R&B’s most compelling rising voices.
The project opens with “Make Me Feel”, produced by BLK ODYSSY, a shimmering confession of love that captures SABRI learning to let her heart lead. “Sold Myself For Love”, first showcased during her striking COLORS performance, delves into the fallout of losing yourself while trying to hold a relationship together.
She lightens the mood on “Loved You”, a deceptively sweet, upbeat track tracing the blurry line between love and resentment, before unleashing pure catharsis on “Dumb MF”, a blistering takedown of a lover who pushed their luck one too many times. “Blocked” carries a funk flecked sense of liberation, channelling the moment you realise you deserve better. The EP closes with “Should’ve Cheated”, a haunting yet empowering finale that finds SABRI fully stepping into her worth.
Speaking on the project, SABRI says: “What I Feel Now isn’t just a title, it’s a declaration… showing up fully in your emotional truth and owning every feeling without apology.”
Raised in Amsterdam by Moroccan and Algerian parents, SABRI grew up steeped in R&B, soul and hip hop, inspired early on by icons like Lauryn Hill, Aaliyah and Mary J. Blige. Her unmistakable voice has since carried her across genres from pop and house to afrobeats, and into collaborations with Full Crate, Yung Bleu and Olamide. Her debut EP Actually, I Can. (2022) introduced her artistic vision, and her COLORS debut earlier this year expanded her fanbase even further.
With What I Feel Now, SABRI delivers her most honest work yet, a vivid snapshot of desire, clarity, heartbreak and self possession. It is a body of work that does not just tell her story but invites listeners to sit with their own.
