Samm Henshaw - It Could Be Worse (Album)

Samm Henshaw Drops Vinyl Only Album ‘It Could Be Worse’ and New Single ‘Float’.

South London singer-songwriter Samm Henshaw is back with his latest project, It Could Be Worse, out now exclusively on vinyl, alongside new single “Float.” The album explores chasing love in the wrong places and the bittersweet realisation that even good things do not last forever. It is a reflection on drifting through life while recognising what is truly worth holding onto.

Eschewing the usual algorithm driven rollout, Samm is taking a more grounded, offline approach. The vinyl release coincides with news of a world tour spanning 35 cities across the US, Asia, and Europe, kicking off in January and concluding with a homecoming show in London on 24 March. Fans have already had a taste of the album at intimate listening sessions in New York, Los Angeles, and London.

Raised in South London, Samm first emerged in 2015 with “Only Wanna Be With You” and broke through globally three years later with “How Does It Feel?” and “Broke,” amassing over 60 million Spotify streams. His 2022 debut album, Untidy Soul, powered by fan favourite “Grow,” earned critical acclaim from NPR, The Guardian, NME, and more. He has collaborated with the likes of Pharrell, Tori Kelly, EARTHGANG, Jacob Banks, and more, while holding his own on tours with Chance the Rapper, James Bay, and Allen Stone. He has also worked with Quincy Jones and Steven McQueen on Soundtrack Of America, racked up over 150 million YouTube views, and appeared in Godfather Of Harlem.

Co-produced in Los Angeles with collaborators including Anoop D’Souza, OGI, and executive producer Josh Grant, It Could Be Worse was shaped during a tumultuous period, including Samm’s first experience of heartbreak. For the first time, he recorded the album entirely with live musicians, giving the project a raw, human dimension.

It Could Be Worse is available on vinyl now - here.
