PREMIERE: JPDL x Yogi Beats
Straight out 'a Gloucester, a crazy record label called Played Out have just dropped their debut LP by conscious Hip-Hop artists JPDL and Yogi Beats. Featuring thirteen tracks of stark lyricism and spoken word coupled with creamy and sleek grooves and a host of collaborations from the likes of DJ Slaazninjah, Griz-O, Grove, MC D and Reuben Lovett.
Hailing from Cheltenham, JPDL is an artist who's spent over ten years honing his craft over a variety of different platforms, subjects and topics, embalmed around conscious and societal Hip-Hop. His musical partner Yogi Beats also reps Cheltenham and matches the conscious tone with his sublime use of funky layered beats throughout the record. A formidable Hip-Hop pairing and for a first release, it’s an impressive feat, setting the standard for which Played Out Records are sure to follow as their discography is set to expand throughout the year.
