SLEEP’S COUSIN & LIEU: An introduction
Sleep’s cousin & Lieu are (in our opinion) the most exciting duo in UK Rap right now! A Producer & Rapper combo hailing from Norfolk. The duo have been making waves in the local and the national scene from performing a BBC Live Lounge at Maida Vale Studios to Latitude Festival. Sleep’s Cousin being named one of Wordplay Magazine's ones to watch in 2023, and Lieu being named one to watch in 2023 by BBC introducing Norfolk. The pair have supported the likes of Skinnyman, Cosmo Pyke, and Coops, just to name a few.
Lieu is a master of his craft, producing for many artists up and down the country he’s already established his roots as a ‘go to’ producer in the U.K. He managed to remain largely unnoticed in the public eye for the last 10 years until combining with Sleep’s Cousin when they both really came into their own. The two bring a new spin on the rap genre, and can be heard just as comfortably creating laid back boom bap as they can fiercely rock a crowd.
Sleep's Cousin is without doubt one of the best lyricists in UK Rap, and continuously pays homage to the elders, but he also won't be held back by genre or bubbles. Lieu started Cold Frame Records & Little Leaf Recordings and has done work for major advertising and tv campaigns, working with the likes of Porsche, Bosch, Forbes IT, just to name a few.
