UK alternative R&B artist CARI returns with new single “Baaad!”, offering a playful change of pace ahead of her listening experience at Aethos Hotel on 30th September.

Created alongside PRGRSHN and Steph FM, “Baaad!” captures the weightless rush of being in love, presenting a carefree and wide-eyed side to CARI before the heartbreak that has shaped much of her previous work. While lighter in narrative, the track retains the experimentation and freedom at the heart of her sound.

“‘BAAAD!’ is playful in spirit, but still driven by a desire to experiment, explore and let the sound be as uninhibited as the feeling itself,” she explains.

The single follows the momentum of CARI’s 2025 debut EP FLUX, which established her as an exciting presence within British alternative R&B. Since then, she has toured with Destin Conrad, supported KWN and Sasha Keable, and collaborated with Venna and Ambré.

With more new music promised for the new year, “Baaad!” signals the beginning of another musical phase for CARI as she continues to push her sound into new territory.
