Three time Grammy nominated artist and The Pharcyde founding member Bootie Brown returns with new solo single ‘2 Get 2 U’, a smooth and playful hip hop cut exploring the lengths people will go to when trying to win someone’s attention.

Produced by Les Lockheart, the track came together after Brown discovered his work through OrganicBeat Session, the PharcydeTV show he hosts to spotlight emerging beatmakers. “I heard this track and knew I could create something special with it,” Brown explains. “I have been working on it for some time now, and it’s ready for me to share with the people.”

Built around attraction, pursuit and seduction, ‘2 Get 2 U’ pairs Lockheart’s production with Brown’s unmistakable character and laid back storytelling. “What ‘2 Get 2 U’ means to me is the various ways men will try to seduce a woman,” he says.

Decades on from helping shape alternative hip hop with The Pharcyde and later appearing on Gorillaz favourites including ‘Dirty Harry’ and ‘New Gold’, Bootie Brown continues to push forward through new sounds and collaborations.
