WhyDee - Bonjour (Official Video)

North West London rapper, producer and content creator WhyDee continues his rise with new single ‘Bonjour’, a feel good UK rap cut that turns his journey so far into something infectious and uplifting.

Co produced by WhyDee and Waytoolost, with mastering from Tweeko, ‘Bonjour’ pairs smooth production with catchy melodies, sharp punchlines and plenty of personality. Built around the line “I was the same as them”, the track finds the 20 year old reflecting on growing up with little, making mistakes and eventually finding a sense of purpose, without judging those still finding their own way.

The track was already gathering serious momentum ahead of its 11th September release, generating close to 1,000 TikTok recreations, while WhyDee’s collaboration with Nigerian creator Peller pulled in around five million views. It is another sign of the increasingly blurred line between WhyDee’s huge online presence and his growing credibility as an artist, with his dedicated Hawk Tribe community following the process from viral freestyles to live Twitch recording sessions.

Following a year that has also included collaborations with Apple, Spotify, Marc Jacobs and the NFL, ‘Bonjour’ feels like the beginning of another chapter for WhyDee, with a cinematic official video set to follow shortly.
