Kojo Funds celebrates a decade in the game with new EP HELLO IT’S ME AGAIN, marking a confident return from one of Afroswing’s defining voices. Built around gratitude, resilience and overcoming obstacles, the project finds Kojo reflecting on his journey while pushing his signature sound forward.

The EP arrives alongside new single ‘How Many’, a sun soaked dancehall anthem produced by Grammy winner Killbeatz. Its poolside video captures the track’s celebratory energy, while elsewhere ‘Long Time’ brings a smooth R&B bounce, ‘Problems’ delivers feelgood Afroswing, and ‘With You’ blends silky guitars with intricate Afrobeat percussion. Closing track ‘I Need’ turns up the low end with a bass heavy club sound.

Having helped shape Afroswing through records including ‘Dun Talkin’ with Abra Cadabra, ‘Check’ with RAYE and Mabel collaboration ‘Finders Keepers’, Kojo’s influence stretches back to the genre’s formative years. With more than 500 million Spotify streams to his name, HELLO IT’S ME AGAIN opens the next chapter for the self proclaimed Godfather of Afroswing.

Kojo Funds sat down with Wordplay Magazine to answer our infamous 10 Questions:

1. So tell me, how did it all begin? What sparked your love for music?

My love for music started when I was around 7/8 years old. My parents used to play vinyl in the house like Daddy Lumba - Playboy and Maxi Priest - Dancing Mood. I used to watch the music videos on MTV Base like 50 Cent ‘In Da Club’, Akon’s ‘Locked Up’ / ‘Lonely’ and Nelly’s ‘Hot In Herre’.

2. Who are some artists that influence you and that you want to work with in the future?

Some artists that influenced me are Akon, Wizkid and Mavado.

3. What projects do you have coming up and can you give us any info on them?

Unique.

Believe in yourself and be consistent.
