Kuda-Kwashé - Afua’s Kitchen (Hosted by Ne Yo) (Single)

Zimbabwean born artist Kuda-Kwashé continues to carve out his own lane with the release of Afua’s Kitchen (Hosted by Ne Yo), an uplifting Afro fusion track that blends Afrobeats, Afropop, rap, R&B and soulful storytelling into a celebration of culture, food and human connection.

Built around infectious rhythms and feel good energy, the song was inspired by something surprisingly simple: conversations about food. What began as a light hearted exchange with a Ghanaian entrepreneur making homemade sauces evolved into a wider reflection on how food and music bring people together across cultures.

For Kuda-Kwashé, the track reflects the hospitality and community spirit he grew up with in Harare, Zimbabwe. That message is amplified by a public endorsement from R&B superstar Ne-Yo, giving fresh momentum to a song originally created in 2021.

Musically, Afua’s Kitchen showcases the artist’s self described “RapFro Soul” sound, a genre blending style influenced by the likes of Burna Boy, Wizkid, J Hus, Drake, J. Cole, Tems and Alicia Keys.

What makes Kuda Kwashé particularly unique is the perspective he brings beyond music. A qualified mental health nurse, he infuses his songwriting with themes of healing, identity and emotional connection, creating music that aims to resonate on a deeper level.

As he continues to develop his wider Hybrid Heart Experience platform, which combines music, conversation and community impact, Kuda-Kwashé is emerging as more than an artist. He is building a movement centred on authenticity, cultural exchange and meaningful human connection.
