The beginning sets the scene with a well produced, hazy guitar line. From there, sleek percussion and punchy kick drums underpin 1ayjay’s reflective and confident delivery, resulting in an atmospheric nighttime glow throughout the track. On the process of making ‘Double Cup’, the artist shares: “I had the idea of what I wanted it to feel like before I even had the record. Just that specific energy, late nights, a certain mood. When I found the beat, it just clicked. Didn’t force it.”

Adding, “It’s the first time everything’s aligned, the sound, the visuals, the right people around it. I’ve been building quietly for a while. This one’s got some weight behind it. Got a lot in the pipeline that being superstitious I can’t really speak on yet aha.”
