Belgian soul pop artist Selah Sue has teamed up with jazz drummer Stéphane Galland and producer and keyboardist Elvin Galland for a new collaborative project, and their first single together, Another Way, sets the tone. The track is out now via Because Music and opens the trio’s forthcoming album Movin’, arriving 20 March 2026.

The song was written during a difficult period for Selah Sue, when she was struggling with her mental health. Yet Another Way carries a sense of movement and quiet optimism. As she explains, the track is about surrendering control and trusting that life can reveal a different path forward when things feel uncertain.

The collaboration began somewhat unexpectedly in June 2025 when Stéphane Galland was given carte blanche at the Jazz Middelheim festival in Antwerp. He invited Selah Sue to join him and his son Elvin, an idea that quickly evolved beyond a one off performance. When the trio first met to jam, the chemistry was immediate. What started as a potential EP soon grew into a full album.

Recorded across several Brussels studios, Elvin Galland’s home studio, and Selah Sue’s house near Leuven, Movin’ came together in just a few months. The project blends Galland’s intricate drumming, Elvin’s Rhodes driven arrangements, and Selah Sue’s unmistakable voice, with mixing handled by legendary engineer Russell Elevado.

Across the album, Selah Sue’s lyrics trace a journey from darkness toward something lighter. While Another Way emerged from a period of depression, later songs reportedly carry a more joyful energy, reflecting how the collaborative process helped shift her state of mind.

The trio will bring the project on the road in early March 2026, performing across Europe in intimate venues. Alongside new material from Movin’, fans can also expect a few reimagined Selah Sue classics.
