Levina Returns With ‘Back In My Body’.

London based singer songwriter Levina returns today with Back In My Body, a piano led single that opens a deeply personal new chapter.

Blending alternative soul, folk and jazz, Levina has built a reputation for emotionally direct songwriting. Written at her piano during a period of reflection, the new track explores dissociation and the gradual process of reconnecting with oneself. “It’s for anyone who’s ever felt outside of their own life,” she says. “A reminder that you’re not alone and that nothing lasts forever.”

The song unfolds as a slow burn, moving from shadowy, intimate verses into lighter, more expansive choruses. Levina’s airy vocals sit over warm basslines and rich instrumentation, creating a sound that feels both immersive and understated.

It also marks her first official co-production credit, working alongside Steven Bamidele. Seeking a more human, organic sound, they brought together live musicians including drummer Romarna Campbell and bassist Rosetta Carr, with mixing by Nikola Kovačević and mastering at Abbey Road.

Following years of creative constraint within the major label system, Levina continues to define her independent voice. Back In My Body signals a return to clarity and creative freedom, and sets the tone for what comes next.
