Sletta explores vulnerability on new single Feel.

Norwegian born, London based artist Sletta releases her new single Feel today (20th March). The track explores the vulnerability of forming new connections and the importance of shared intention at the beginning of a relationship.

Blending neo soul, contemporary jazz and folk, Feel pairs Sletta’s warm vocals with an understated groove that captures the tension between emotional caution and the desire to fully commit.

The song reflects on the uncertainty of early dating and the anxiety of opening up without knowing whether someone is truly invested. A key lyric, “I’ve done it all before, half way from the shore, so unless it’s all the way I’m not here to stay,” draws on imagery from Sletta’s coastal hometown and likens the start of a relationship to being out at sea.

Based in London, Sletta’s music blends neo soul, contemporary jazz and folk influences shaped by both her Norwegian upbringing and the vibrant music scene of her adopted city.

Since her debut single Take Your Time in 2021, Sletta has steadily built momentum. Her 2024 EP Sometimes We Have to Look Inward gained airplay on Jazz FM and Life with John Mayer, while recent singles have been featured on BBC Introducing Mixtape and The Jazz Show on BBC Radio 2. She has also performed headline shows at Servant Jazz Quarters and made a sold out debut at the EFG London Jazz Festival.
