JuJu’s story is anything but ordinary. Born to an American G.I. Inspired by his father’s collection of Jazz and Soul records, JuJu began playing the trumpet at an early age but found his musical feet in the underground rough and tumble of his local punk & hardcore scene. His quest to explore, define and report on these divergent realities., He has collaborated with Jesse Royal, Sampa The Great,  Mick Jenkins, Ivan Ave & more, gaining support from the likes of COLORS, OkayPlayer, Clash, BBC 6 Music, NTS Radio, Rinse FM + more.

On the track’s ethos, JuJu explains: "The old world is dying, and the new world struggles to be born: now is the time of monsters" is a famous quote by Italian Marxist Antonio Gramsci, written in his Prison Notebooks around 1930. It describes a chaotic transitional period where old political, social, or economic systems collapse before new ones are fully established. It's a practical, actionable philosophy focused on developing oneself, the community, and the world. PEACE to the Gods! This release signals a most welcome return to the stage from a truly original voice, with more to come for 2026.
