Dutch Indonesian singer, songwriter and producer Romy Dya is set to release her deeply personal new album, Hear My Nudes, on 27th November, offering 16 tracks of soulful R&B exploring love, heartbreak, healing and self-discovery.
Inspired by Don Miguel Ruiz’s book The Mastery of Love, the project finds Romy at her most vulnerable, drawing on experiences of trauma, depression and homelessness to create what ultimately became a love letter to herself. Lead single ‘Cosmic Love’ offers the first taste of an album rooted in emotional honesty and the importance of healthy relationships.
Speaking on the project, Romy explains: “Self-love taught me who I am. Healthy love taught me how to stay open. The Mastery of Love taught me how to love without trying to change someone.”
Recorded across the Netherlands, Los Angeles, Indonesia and Brazil, the album features collaborations with James Francis, VET and DOMINIQUE, alongside a personal voice memo from hip hop icon Snoop Dogg on ‘The Real You’.
Already recognised for her contributions to Martin Garrix and David Guetta’s ‘So Far Away’, Chris Brown’s ‘Sensational’ and Lil Tjay and 6LACK’s ‘Calling My Phone’, Romy Dya now steps firmly into her own spotlight with a project that celebrates vulnerability, personal growth and the power of self-love.
