Anderson .Paak x Cordae - Heavy Is the Crown (Album)

Two of hip hop's most exciting talents, Anderson .Paak and Cordae, have joined forces for their highly anticipated collaborative album, Heavy Is the Crown, out now via APESHIT / Hi Level / EMPIRE. Bringing together .Paak's infectious musicality and Cordae's razor sharp lyricism, the 11-track project is a celebration of creativity, chemistry and their shared love for pushing boundaries.

Blending slick wordplay, soulful textures and moments of introspection with the pair's trademark humour, Heavy Is the Crown boasts an impressive production line-up. Heavyweights including J. Cole, Swizz Beatz, Conductor Williams, 9th Wonder and FNZ all contribute, helping create a rich and varied soundscape that allows both artists to shine.

Their natural chemistry takes centre stage throughout, with the album's playful artwork paying homage to cult comedy Step Brothers. Lead single ‘A Good Day’ perfectly captures that energy, accompanied by a light hearted visual starring Jennifer Freeman that has already racked up millions of views.

With two distinct musical personalities complementing one another effortlessly, Heavy Is the Crown feels like a natural progression of a friendship built on mutual respect and artistic ambition. It's a project that brings together sharp bars, accomplished production and plenty of personality, reminding us just how exciting hip hop can be when two artists are genuinely having fun with their craft.
