BombayMami is stepping into a powerful new era with the announcement of her debut album Peaceful Attitude, landing 20th March via MNRK and she’s kicking things off with a vibrant new single, “Energy (Chak Dum Dum)” ft Mannywellz, out now.
A bold fusion of Western pop, Afropop and traditional Indian instrumentation, “Energy (Chak Dum Dum)” draws inspiration from the emotional push and pull of cult 90s Bollywood classic Dil To Pagal Hai, capturing that feeling of desire and destiny never quite lining up in time. The track also reunites BombayMami with longtime friend and collaborator Mannywellz, the Nigerian American artist and producer whose warm, soulful touch complements her genre blurring sound perfectly.
The release follows recent singles “Jaloux”, “Curse” and her viral Fire in Delhi snowboarding campaign, which amassed over 10 million views and earned love from names like Maya Jama, Sid Sriram, Biig Piig and Kojey Radical. The moment also turned heads across major tastemaker platforms including BBC Introducing, BBC Asian Network, Vogue, Elle India and Trippin World.
With Peaceful Attitude, BombayMami continues to effortlessly weave together cultures, sounds and stories, backed by heavyweight production from Tudor Monroe (Pa Salieu, CKay, Stefflon Don), StillNaS (Aya Nakamura), Mintsauce (SOLOMON) and more.
More than just a debut, the album is deeply personal. As BombayMami puts it, it’s her “mantra”, reflecting a journey through womanhood, self trust, softness, boundaries and choosing peace without dimming power.
One thing’s clear: BombayMami isn’t just releasing an album, she’s building a world and Peaceful Attitude is set to make waves far beyond borders or genre.
