Alexandru Bleu - BATSHIT CRAZY (LONDON) (Single)

Chaos to Clapbacks: Alexandru Bleu gets BATSHIT CRAZY on latest single.

London rapper Alexandru Bleu is no stranger to chaos. In fact, he thrives in it. Fresh off being caught in a storm of online hate for donning a pink cowboy outfit at Boomtown, Bleu has done what he always does best and flipped the negativity into a narrative. The promising London rapper drops his latest single, BATSHIT CRAZY to serve as a fiery retaliation anthem. Blending clap backs with autobiographical storytelling in his verses led by the hypnotic rage-fuelled hook, Bleu proves he can switch the style to flow over a funky/garage-inspired beat while still sounding authentically Hip-Hop.

More than just a clap back, BATSHIT CRAZY was crafted as a soundscape of the London Alexandru grew up in. Pulling from North West’s early funky house, with grime’s jagged flows, the gritty lyricism of road rap, and the confrontational edge of South London drill, the track is both a reflection of the city and an assertion of its influence.

For Bleu, rap is about the story. About taking the rawness of real life: the hate comments, controversies, and unexpected mess of internet virality… and transforming it into an unforgettable anthem.

“I saw what was being said about me and wanted to flip it by immortalising the moment. I knew [the online trolls] didn’t think I’d respond, but I’m never going to be a victim. I don’t think you can be, as an artist, when there's always the opportunity to turn the situation into art that people can resonate with” he says.

This is not the first time Alexandru Bleu has turned pressure into triumph. His single LINE OF ASSAULT stormed into the UK iTunes Top 10 earlier this year, cementing him as someone to pay attention to in the scope of British hip hop. Now, with BATSHIT CRAZY he’s pushing even further by crafting a world of resilience around his sound.

Hate becomes fuel to the fire of his artistry. Drama becomes promo. And a song becomes an event.

His origins in theatre contextualise his world-building abilities as a storyteller, and his modelling background explain the emboldened, eccentric aesthetic. But if you take a moment to truly take him in, you’ll soon realise that he isn’t just a storyteller, but a rapper, who actually raps. The song starts off with rage and defiance, but with the final verse’s emotional retelling of an encounter that almost left in fatality you soon realise that there’s more to the pink hair and bold outfits.

Not a Joke, Just a Beginning - BATSHIT CRAZY is the second charge into Bleu’s upcoming project NOT A JOKE, due later this year. A body of work promising tight flows, sharp bars, and raw rage, Bleu says: “It’s a showcase of me in my element as a rapper. Concise, no filler, all flames. Personal without being whiney. It’s me daring to blur a lot of lines in all that I am.”

What makes Alexandru Bleu stand out is that he's as much a strategist as he is a rapper, blending grime, hip-hop, and London street wit with the sharp eye of a documentarian. Whether stepping into the booth, stepping onto stage, or stepping into a viral storm, Alexandru Bleu makes one thing clear: “he is not here to play by rules, and as his latest string of singles prove he’s not here to play at all.”

BATSHIT CRAZY is available to stream/purchase on all major platforms.
