Koralle & Yawuh - Fantasmi / Until We Lift It - ft: Tiff The Gift (Double Single)

Italian jazz-beat duo Koralle and Yawuh are teaming up for a new collaborative album, Primo Quarto, landing 24th October on LP and digital, with artwork by Tokyo illustrator Tomo Oriyama.

Following the dreamy first single Shangri-La, the pair return with a double drop: the smoky instrumental Fantasmi and Until We Lift It, featuring Virginia rapper Tiff The Gift (Don’t Sleep Records) and her trademark introspective storytelling.

Primo Quarto is built on late-night sessions in their Bologna apartment block—Yawuh’s studio on the first floor, Koralle’s on the fourth. Across 13 tracks, the record weaves together lush live instrumentation, guest MCs from the US (Anti Lilly, Tiff The Gift, Physical Graffiti) and producer friends from Berlin, Luz and Milan.

The title, “Primo Quarto,” refers to the moon’s first quarter—half in light, half in shadow. “That balance between clarity and mystery is exactly what we tried to capture in the music,” the duo explain.

If Shangri-La is anything to go by—an earthy soul-jazz cut with warm horns and laid-back groove—this record promises to be a late-night soundtrack for city wanderings and hidden stories.
