Kojey Radical Returns with New Single Expensive and Upcoming Album Don’t Look Down.

East London’s own Kojey Radical is back with his new single Expensive, featuring Montreal trio Planet Giza and produced by Swindle. Built on a futuristic, stripped-back beat, the track blends groove and grit, weaving in lines like “Stop holding on to the past” and “No price on life and time”. It’s thoughtful yet danceable – a balance Kojey pulls off effortlessly.

The single leads into his forthcoming 16-track album Don’t Look Down, out 19th September 2025. It’s set to be his most eclectic project yet, drawing influences from hip hop, disco, grime, jazz and ska, while reflecting on themes of loss, fatherhood, friendship and growth in his 30s.

True to his community-focused spirit, Kojey is taking the album offline – from a mural tracklist reveal in Shoreditch to curated parties around the UK. He’s also premiered a short film directed by Relta, blending three music videos into one cinematic piece, inspired by the striking visuals he grew up with.

Since his Mercury-nominated debut Reason to Smile (2022), Kojey Radical has become one of the most distinctive voices in British music, praised by everyone from The Guardian to British GQ, while also hosting the British Fashion Council’s Fashion Awards. With Don’t Look Down, he looks set to push things even further.
