MacKenzie - After The Party (Album)

MacKenzie is a seasoned veteran of the Scottish hip-hop scene, having dedicated over 15 years to crafting a name for himself across multiple creative disciplines. From rapping and music production to videography and event promotion, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the culture and pushing the scene forward.

Beyond the music, MacKenzie has made a significant mark in the world of battle rap. Over the past decade, he has competed across the UK and the US, battling on renowned platforms such as Don't Flop, Premier Battles, King of the Dot, and iBattle. He also ran Scottish rap battle league IRON BARZ from 2016-2023, providing a platform for new and emerging talent.

"After The Party" marks a new chapter in MacKenzie’s artistic journey—a reflection of growth, resilience, and an evolving understanding of both his craft and the world around him. With this album, he bridges the gap between the party and the aftermath, speaking not just to those lost in the revelry, but also to those searching for something more.

With a mix of hard-hitting storytelling, sharp social commentary, and a matured perspective, the album also examines the evolution of both the artist and the Scottish hip-hop scene. While some tracks take a tongue-in-cheek approach to party life, others serve as a serious reflection on addiction, excess, and societal norms. At its core, "After The Party" is a project of balance—one that offers both anthems to motivate and uplift, as well as cautionary tales for those lost in the haze of late-night indulgence.
