South London’s own Kwengface returns with Victim of Circumstance, a sharp, emotionally charged new EP that sees the Peckham rapper at his most reflective. Out now, the project marks a defining moment in Kweng’s journey, merging raw storytelling with sonic evolution.

The latest single, Parallel Theory, sets the tone—exploring alternate realities and the weight of decisions through vivid lyricism and stripped-back production. It follows the success of 2 Summers, 2 Conspiracies, and Ready Set Go, each tackling themes from missed milestones to street politics and childhood nostalgia, all while pushing past drill’s traditional boundaries.

Inspired by a label given to him by the system, the EP’s title flips “victim of circumstance” into a personal mission statement. Having spent time incarcerated and recently embracing fatherhood and faith, Kwengface is more grounded than ever, using music as a tool for growth, healing, and reinvention.
