GloRilla Storms Back With Double Drop “MARCH” & “Special”.
Grammy nominated rap force GloRilla has kicked off a new chapter with a powerful double release, unveiling her latest singles “MARCH” and “Special” plus a cinematic video for “MARCH” directed by Troy Roscoe.
“MARCH” channels the electric atmosphere of HBCU marching band culture, weaving GloRilla’s unmistakable Memphis grit through booming brass and drumline swagger. The video leans into full nostalgia, nodding to the 2002 classic Drumline as Big Glo steps into the thick of a band battle with effortless command.
Her second drop “Special” pivots to something more intimate. It is GloRilla at her most direct, asking her partner to tell her she is special while spelling out exactly why she is. The track balances defiance, vulnerability and self assurance, reminding listeners that real affirmation hits hardest when it is truly earned.
These releases arrive as GloRilla continues an extraordinary run. She is currently up for three Grammy Awards including a rare nomination for Best Rap Album, making her only the thirteenth woman ever recognised in the category. The momentum follows her lively halftime performance with Grambling State University’s marching band at The Bayou Classic where she teased the same explosive energy now captured in “MARCH”.
All of this builds on a meteoric rise that began with 2022’s breakout “FNF (Let’s Go)”. Since then she has delivered multiple Hot 100 top 30 hits, released her debut album GLORIOUS which opened at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and became 2024’s biggest debut for a female rapper, and earned cosigns from Rihanna and Taylor Swift. She also recently made history as the youngest woman to win Songwriter of the Year at the BMI R&B Hip Hop Awards.
With “MARCH” and “Special”, Big Glo reinforces exactly why she is considered one of hip hop’s most electrifying voices. The glow up is not slowing down any time soon.
