V.I.C - Cole Palmer (Single)

V.I.C Returns With “Cole Palmer” A Razor Sharp Statement From One of the UK’s Most Exciting New Voices.

V.I.C is back, and he is not easing into anything. The young Southampton raised, London sharpened rapper drops Cole Palmer, a cold blooded trap heater that lands after a standout summer of festival performances and BBC Introducing co signs.

Built on eerie strings, jagged percussion and a heavyweight 808, the track showcases exactly why V.I.C’s name keeps bubbling up. He cuts through the beat with surgical precision, spitting hunger, ambition and unmistakable inner city grit. Lines like “When it comes to me, I just keep my mind in my business // Getting paid off of their interest” underline the discipline that fuels his rise, followed by a beat switch where he delivers his mission statement with a snarling “licence to kill.”

Speaking on the track, V.I.C explains that “Cole Palmer” draws inspiration from the footballer’s mentality, which mirrors his own focus on discipline, writing drills, show preparation and mental clarity as he pushes toward greatness.

The release follows a strong run that includes his EP VARÏANT, which has passed six million streams, the gritty single 40 Doors, and a powerful appearance on the BBC Introducing stage at Reading and Leeds. His performance earned praise from NME, who compared his determination to the spirit of Get Rich or Die Tryin’ era 50 Cent.

Born in Nigeria and raised in Southampton, V.I.C’s foundation spans church choirs, community creativity and the sharp energy of London’s rap world. Tracks like his viral breakout A Teen featured on FIFA 22, along with Two Sides and 4am, highlighted his reflective approach, while his live shows across the UK including a sold out night at Camden Assembly have proven his strength as a performer.

Now sitting on more than forty two million global streams, with support from COLORS, GRM Daily and BBC Radio 1, V.I.C continues to grow at pace. “Cole Palmer” is the latest reminder that he is carving his own lane, and 2026 is shaping up to be a defining year.
