De La Soul - The Package (Single)

Pioneering hip-hop trio De La Soul have announced details of their wildly-anticipated tenth studio album, Cabin In The Sky, due out 21st November via Mass Appeal.

To mark the announcement, the group have also released the album’s lead single, The Package.

Cabin In The Sky is De La Soul’s first new studio album in nine years, following 2016’s And The Anonymous Nobody, which earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album.  It’s also their first release since the passing of beloved founding member Trugoy the Dove (David Jolicoeur) in 2023.

The record features several heavyweight collaborators, including Killer Mike, Yukimi Nagano (from Little Dragon), Nas, and Black Thought, with production from DJ Premier, Super Dave, Pete Rock and others.

Cabin In The Sky is the sixth instalment in Mass Appeal’s Legend Has It… series - a seven-part celebration of New York hip-hop trailblazers.  The series has so far seen fresh releases from Slick Rick, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Mobb Deep and Big L, and will culminate later this year with a joint album from Nas & DJ Premier.
