Show Dem Camp - AFRIKA MAGIK (Album)
Show Dem Camp Unveil AFRIKA MAGIK. A Bold New Chapter for African Rap.
Nigerian rap duo Show Dem Camp (SDC) return with AFRIKA MAGIK, a 17 track odyssey available now on all streaming platforms.
In a year where hip hop heavyweights like Clipse and Mobb Deep have reminded us of rap’s enduring power, SDC’s Ghost and Tec step forward as Africa’s answer to this global renaissance. AFRIKA MAGIK doesn’t just celebrate African hip hop, it places it squarely within the wider conversation around authentic, lyric driven music.
Building on their acclaimed collaboration with The Cavemen and Nsikak David, the duo glide between eras and emotions, weaving nostalgia from late 90s Nollywood into fresh tales of love, identity and self discovery. With features from Tems, BOJ, Winny and Mereba, the album fuses hip hop, R&B, soul, alté and Afro fusion into a textured, modern soundscape.
“For us, AFRIKA MAGIK isn’t just an album; it’s a cultural document, a reminder that our stories, in all their beauty and chaos, are magic,” SDC explain.
Having recently appeared on Ebro’s show and featured in the first Nigerian film to premiere at Cannes, SDC continue to champion African creativity on a global stage. AFRIKA MAGIK cements their reputation as not just rappers, but storytellers and cultural curators pushing the boundaries of modern rap.
Comprising Tec (Wale Davies) and Ghost (Olumide Ayeni), SDC have built an international following through their Clone Wars and Palmwine Music series. They also founded the Palmwine Music Festival, now held annually in Lagos, London and New York, featuring stars such as Davido, Ayra Starr and Victony. Following their North American tour for Palmwine Music 3 (which topped 20 million streams), the duo were personally invited by Ms. Lauryn Hill to join her on the Sydney leg of her world tour.
