Bricknasty return with BLACKS LAW — a blistering new chapter in Irish soul.

Dublin five piece Bricknasty have dropped their most fearless work to date with the release of their new EP, BLACKS LAW, a nine track odyssey through faith, addiction, chaos and redemption.

Following the unrelenting energy of recent singles go get that blade, is é a locht a laghad and i hope you’re ready (featuring F3miii), this latest project sees the Ballymun collective peel back every layer of their sound and spirit. It’s raw, politically charged, and unflinchingly honest, a fusion of soul, trad folk, noise and gospel all colliding in glorious disarray.

At the EP’s centre is eternity in grace, a deeply personal homage to D’Angelo, the artist frontman Fatboy calls “the biggest gift to music since Turlough O’Carolan”. The influence runs deep, not just in sound but in spirituality. Much of BLACKS LAW was recorded in just six months across makeshift border studios and B&Bs, capturing the volatile creative chemistry between Fatboy and producer Cillian McCauley.

The result is both bruised and beautiful, a record that wrestles with belief, loss and renewal, anchored by Fatboy’s unmistakable voice and stories drawn straight from Ballymun’s heart.

Fresh off their Glastonbury debut and a summer of festival acclaim, Bricknasty are taking BLACKS LAW across Europe and the UK this winter, with dates including London’s Village Underground (22 Nov), Belfast’s Limelight 2 (25 Nov), and a homecoming show at Dublin’s 3Olympia (6 Dec).
