J.R.Clark - I Just Wanna Know (Single)
Independent rapper, songwriter, and studio engineer J.R.Clark is celebrating a decade in the game with the release of his highly anticipated new album, ‘10 Years Later’. Known for his sharp lyricism, polished production, and ability to fuse personal experiences with universal themes, J.R.Clark delivers a record that reflects on his journey while pushing his artistry to new heights.
Drawing influence from artists like Future, Yo Gotti, and Offset, the song is powered by J.R.Clark’s expressive delivery and raw emotion. The track was born out of a personal moment:Leading the project is the single “I Just Wanna Know”, a hypnotic, high-energy track that channels the golden era of 2010s hip-hop with a modern twist.
“I remember having a heated conversation with my ex-girlfriend one day, and during the argument, I said: ‘I just wanna know, baby girl, do you feel me?’ That line stuck with me for days. It felt honest, raw, and I knew there was something powerful in it. So I decided to build the entire song around that phrase,” J.R.Clark shares.
Since his 2015 debut That Weekend earned him a spot on the Z104 Shaggfest stage alongside Travis Scott, 50 Cent, and Pusha T, J.R.Clark has steadily carved his lane as a fiercely independent force in hip hop. From collaborations with Smoke DZA, Stalley, and Curren$y’s Fendi P, to sharing stages with DaBaby, Gunna, Rick Ross, and Nipsey Hussle, his résumé reflects both resilience and respect within the culture. His work has also earned nods from Lyrical Lemonade, Notion, Flaunt, The Source, and Hot 97.
With ‘10 Years Later’, J.R.Clark continues to evolve while honouring the sound and spirit that shaped him. The album captures the essence of classic American hip hop while positioning him as one of today’s most authentic and consistent independent artists.
‘10 Years Later’ is available on all streaming platforms October 10, 2025. “I Just Wanna Know” sets the tone for a project that proves J.R.Clark is not only here to stay but ready to define the next chapter of his career.
