JayaHadADream ft: Frisco - Hideout (Official Video)

JayaHadADream Links Up with Frisco on New Single ‘Hideout’.

With her debut mixtape Happiness From Agony due out on 24 October, Cambridge MC JayaHadADream has dropped her powerful new single ‘Hideout’, featuring grime heavyweight Frisco and produced by UK legend Footsie. The track lands alongside an official video featuring Jaya, Frisco and Bruza.

True to its name, ‘Hideout’ hits hard. Footsie’s icy production sets the stage for Jaya’s razor-sharp delivery — a reflection on independence, focus, and knowing when to step back to level up. The intro features a nod from foundational MC Bruza, echoing the track’s message of self-determination and resilience.

Speaking on the collaboration, Jaya says: “Frisco showed love after my Sounds of the Verse freestyle and later invited me to perform at The Den twice. That co-sign meant a lot — not just as a grime MC, but as someone coming through with something to say.”

The single arrives just weeks before Jaya’s debut project Happiness From Agony, which she describes as “a body of work rooted in emotional honesty, personal transformation, and the tension between public success and private struggle.”

Since quitting her job teaching A-Level Criminology to pursue music full-time in 2023, Jaya has carved out her place as one of the UK’s most exciting new voices. Her 2024 breakout single Twiggy and win at the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition cemented her reputation, with performances across Reading, Leeds and Boomtown following soon after.

Her sound — blending grime, hip-hop and introspective lyricism — has earned praise from heavyweights like Stormzy, Ghetts, Chip, and Mick Jenkins. Beyond rap, she’s collaborated with names across the electronic scene including Zero (Sick of the Chatter) and Gardna (Fine Art).

2025 has already seen Jaya share stages and tracks with icons including Chip, Flirta D, JME, and Flowdan, as well as a soulful feature alongside Låpsley on Wouldn’t I Make A Good Father. Her run of singles — Nothing’s Changed, The Bank, Main Characters ft. Big Zuu and Bug — showcases the range and cohesion of what’s to come.

With Happiness From Agony just around the corner, ‘Hideout’ captures the fierce energy and confidence of an artist stepping fully into her moment.
