He spits with an honesty and conviction that separates him from his peers, as he pours his own autobiographical detail into the mix. His subject matter reflects on life’s struggles with loneliness, work, and money - told through the filter of hazy flows and silky-smooth beats.

Lawlor is a welcome addition to the Irish music scene, reminiscent of Kojaque’s recent tracks around Dublin’s social issues (think ‘Town’s Dead’ via Loyle Carner).
