Sampa The Great - Performs @ Planet Afropunk 2020

Bringing together the largest virtual gathering of the global Black creative community for the first time in its 15-year history, PLANET AFROPUNK welcomed Zambian-born, Botswana-raised and now Melbourne-based, Sampa the Great to curate her own live performance for the virtual hub. Designed to embrace the plurality of Black stories and individualities experienced through music, art, conversation and activism.

Enlisting Director Kit, Sampa’s performance spans 15 minutes of exquisitely composed visuals, lighting and extensive choreography in alignment with PLANET AFROPUNK’s 2020 theme, “Past, Present and Future is Black”. Featuring live renditions of songs including, 'Heaven', 'Any Day', 'Dare To Fly', 'OMG' and 'Final Form', Sampa interprets the virtual festival’s theme as Black Atlantis.
