Elmiene shares his new single ‘Sweetness’ in the midst of his sold-out world tour.

Another intimate and captivating addition to his growing catalogue; ‘Sweetness’ finds the Oxford artist lamenting the slow drying of sweetness from a relationship that once felt ripe with potential.

The track continues Elmiene’s partnership with Dahi (Kendrick Lamar, Drake, SZA) who co-wrote and produced ‘Sweetness’, as well as ‘Shame’ (featured on EA Sports FC 24 soundtrack) and ‘Remember’ from his acclaimed breakthrough Marking My Time EP, and comes accompanied by a visual courtesy of creative polymath Cam Hicks who also shot ‘Crystal Tears’.

’Sweetness’ once again finds Elmiene’s delicate balance of contemporary and classic songwriting, and comes shortly after the news that Elmiene has been nominated for the Rising Star Award with Amazon Music at this year’s Ivor Novello Awards.

Since his emergence, Elmiene has been known for his stunning live performances, and tickets remain in high demand. He sold out his eight-date world tour - including London’s Alexandra Palace. “Elmiene’s confidence as a performer is dazzling but also grounded in substance,” wrote NME, in their four star review of the show.

Elmiene has firmly established himself as a favourite of music lovers. Opening a new chapter with his breath-taking Jeff Buckley cover ‘Lover, You Should’ve Come Over’, he has already released the stripped back Live At Rak Studios EP and ‘Crystal Tears’ prod. By D’Mile (Rihanna, Ty Dolla $ign, Victoria Monét) this year.

Last year he released a pair of EPs, the independent El-Mean in March, followed by Marking My Time, released via Polydor/ Def Jam in October. The latter sees the 22-year-old logging a personal and emotional checkpoint as his pace of life begins to increase. Contributors on the record include Sampha, Syd, Lil Silva, DJ Dahi, Jim-E Stack and Jamie Woon.
