North London singer, songwriter, producer and DJ Ruby Francis celebrates the first anniversary of her self produced album Pages of Philosophy with a new remix project, bringing a fresh international perspective to her distinctive fusion of ’00s R&B, neo soul and jazz.

Pages of Philosophy (Remixes) pushes further into Francis’ world of warm harmonies, low slung bass and soulful production, with MXXWLL, Geo Jordan, GEOTHEORY, Fiji Mageba, jamie.stew and Basile Petite each putting their own stamp on the original material. A new bonus remix of “Lanzarote” also sees Ruby link with Detroit producer Tall Black Guy, who transforms the track with a funk driven touch.

“It’s been amazing bringing together such talented friends from around the globe, from South Africa to Australia, the States and the UK,” Ruby explains. “I love that each artist brings something completely different and their own unique vibe to the project.”

The release arrives during an exciting period for Francis, who recently returned from her second visit to DJ Jazzy Jeff’s PLAYLIST Retreat in Delaware and supported Yasiin Bey at his headline show in Reykjavik. Building on the independent success of Pages of Philosophy and her million streamed debut Archives, the remix project offers another glimpse at an artist continually reshaping her soulful foundations on her own terms.
