Jean Deaux - Immaculate (Single)

Chicago rapper and multidisciplinary artist Jean Deaux makes her solo return with new single “Immaculate”, a confident statement of self belief, creative ownership and independence.

Produced by Blake Wright, the track pairs wavy, sharp production with Deaux’s assured lyricism as she takes control of her own vision while paying respect to the Black creatives at the foundations of Hip Hop culture. “Hip Hop was made for and built by Black people as a tool of liberation,” she explains. “It’s time to give the originators their respect before you tell them to make room for people doing it for a quick buck.”

Following 2024 album nowhere, fast and collaborations with the likes of Kehlani, Destin Conrad, Ravyn Lenae and Sampha, “Immaculate” kicks off Jean Deaux’s latest chapter with plenty of swagger and purpose, setting the tone for more new music to come.
