SUN-Z - Who Am I? (EP)

Hastings rapper and producer SUN-Z introduces himself with Who Am I?, a seven track debut EP built from years spent sharpening his craft from his bedroom.

Rooted firmly in hip hop while occasionally dipping into 140 territory, SUN-Z draws heavily from the production styles of Madlib, J Dilla and MF DOOM. What began as a teenage passion for hip hop gradually developed into making his own beats and stepping behind the mic, with his approach to rapping shaped by the layered rhyme schemes, wordplay and lyricism of artists including Big L, Nas and Jehst.

Entirely hand crafted by SUN-Z, Who Am I? gives each of its seven tracks its own identity while providing a first proper introduction to his sound as both a rapper and producer. The project is also set to expand beyond music, with SUN-Z beginning work on Who Am I? The Short Film, a visual companion that will metaphorically reflect his current life and further develop the ideas behind the EP.
