Sango - RHYTHM & MELODY (Album)

Seattle producer and DJ Sango is heading back to London this summer, joining Soulection for its huge 15th anniversary celebration at Magazine Open Air on August 16.

The appearance follows the release of Sango’s latest album RHYTHM & MELODY, out now via Mass Appeal. Built around the idea that there is “something for everybody”, the project pulls together Afrobeats, Michigan rap, New Orleans bounce, Chicago footwork and Baile Funk, with appearances from Big Sean, Smino, GoldLink and more.

Sango recently shared the video for album standout “BIG LITTLE LIES” featuring Big Sean, a Michigan rooted collaboration that pairs his immersive production with Sean’s narrative driven delivery. It follows previous singles “THE COLD” with Babyface Ray, G.T. and Julian Andretti, and “ST. CLAUDE” featuring New Orleans artist HaSizzle.

A longtime member of the Soulection family, Sango has spent more than a decade developing a distinctive sound spanning hip hop, soul, electronic music and Brazilian funk. Alongside acclaimed releases including the Da Rocinha series and In The Comfort Of, his production credits stretch across Tinashe, Bryson Tiller, GoldLink, Drake, Frank Ocean, The Weeknd and Little Dragon.
