Abby Nissenbaum - Gentleman (Official Video)
Nashville based LGBTQ+ artist Abby Nissenbaum releases the video for "Gentleman" on July 17, a standout track from her latest EP, Want to Be Wrong.
A playful take on the "dream man" stereotype so often celebrated in country music, "Gentleman" blends 80s and 90s country pop with a healthy dose of sapphic honky tonk attitude. Rather than embracing country clichés, Nissenbaum flips the script in the accompanying video, swapping tractors and tailgates for a tennis court. Shot by Oceanna Colgan, the video sees the Connecticut born musician leaning into the joke while battling an over enthusiastic ball machine during filming.
Across Want to Be Wrong, Nissenbaum pairs heartfelt songwriting with energetic indie-rock, tackling themes of depression, isolation and heartbreak while ultimately championing hope, resilience and community. Her candid lyrics and unfiltered vocal delivery continue to set her apart as one of Nashville's most authentic independent voices.
"Gentleman" was produced by Valencia based Martin Trevox, who works alongside Argentina based producer and mix engineer Fede Catenaro to create emotionally rich, contemporary pop productions.
