Col Darcy - Pay Up (Single)

Independent Australian hip hop artist Col Darcy returns with 'Pay Up', the second single from his forthcoming album Redemption. Built on confident lyricism, sharp wordplay and a laid back yet commanding delivery, the track is a powerful reflection on perseverance, self belief and the rewards that come from forging your own path. Blending classic hip hop influences with polished contemporary production, Pay Up highlights Darcy's knack for thoughtful storytelling without sacrificing impact.

Formerly performing as Caper, Darcy first gained widespread attention with his anti racism anthem How Would You Like To Be Me?, which later featured in the Netflix film A Second Chance: Rivals!. Since then, he has continued to build a reputation as one of Australia's most authentic independent voices, with Beautiful Hopeless earning praise for its originality and craftsmanship. Written during a period of personal growth, travel and fatherhood, much of Redemption was recorded in Bali, giving the project a reflective, uplifting spirit. If Pay Up is anything to go by, the album looks set to deliver another compelling collection of honest, purposeful hip hop from an artist who continues to do things on his own terms.
