APSILON - Glanz Null (Album)

German rapper APSILON returns with his second album, Glanz Null, a deeply personal and introspective project that builds on the socially conscious themes of his acclaimed debut Haut Wie Pelz. Across 14 tracks, the record explores fading trust, identity and the search for meaning in a world shaped by uncertainty, while still retaining the political awareness that has become central to his songwriting. The title reflects that journey, with Glanz symbolising childhood innocence and hope, while Null represents both its loss and the chance to begin again.

Lead single "Weg Hier Raus" sets the emotional tone, pairing an expanded sonic palette with a recurring refrain that captures hope, defiance and uncertainty. Another standout, "Sommermärchen", contrasts APSILON's memories of the 2006 FIFA World Cup with the lasting impact of the NSU murders, creating a powerful reflection on joy, grief and the experiences of a post migrant generation.

Executive produced once again by Arman Yolci, with contributions from Bazzazian, Bijan and Ralph Heidel, Glanz Null broadens APSILON's sound through a mix of rap, live instrumentation and electronic textures. Rather than offering easy answers, the album embraces ambiguity, documenting the struggle to keep moving forward while suggesting that even after loss, there is always the possibility of a new beginning.
