1300 - ILLSAMGONGGONG (Album)

Korean Australian collective 1300 have officially released their long awaited debut album, ILLSAMGONGGONG, via Universal Music Korea.

Across 13 tracks, the Sydney based five piece distil everything that's made them one of Australia's most exciting genre defying acts. The record charts the evolution of members DALI, goyo, rako, Nerdie and pokari, exploring themes of brotherhood, identity and creative ambition as the group's dynamic shifts from collaborators to family.

Musically, ILLSAMGONGGONG is as unpredictable as fans have come to expect. K-pop grandeur collides with hip hop, R&B, drum and bass, gabber and even goth rock, making for a record that refuses to stay in one lane. Tracks like "Headrock" and "Home" capture the group's high energy approach, while the album's emotional core shines through moments of reflection and self-discovery.

Since emerging in 2021, 1300 have built a reputation for pushing boundaries within Australia's music scene. Their breakout mixtape Foreign Language introduced their distinctive sound, while George expanded their sonic palette with bold fusions of K-pop, trap, industrial and hip hop.

The group have continued their rapid rise with performances at the Sydney Opera House, a standout Like A Version cover of Psy's "Gangnam Style", award winning visuals for "Oldboy", and recognition from the Australian Music Prize and NME 100. They've also shared stages with the likes of Jay Park, Audrey Nuna, Genesis Owusu and Confidence Man, while their music has featured in campaigns for Samsung and Netflix's Heartbreak High.
