UK neo soul artist Tia Gordon returns with her new six track EP i asked the stars for this. x, arriving alongside uplifting single ‘friends’, produced by Atlanta raised, LA based producer Earl Hondo.

Written while Tia was living in the US and missing home, ‘friends’ is a warm tribute to connection, friendship, and chosen family. The accompanying visual, shot in London by Anna Paterson, captures that feeling perfectly through soft, nostalgic scenes of Tia reconnecting with friends around the city.

The EP follows previous releases ‘love,’ and ‘should i give it up,’ the latter produced by Grammy winning duo Brasstracks, highlighting the emotional depth and honesty that runs throughout the project. Blending soulful vocals with candid songwriting, Tia moves between themes of love, self doubt, growth, and vulnerability with ease.

Created between London and Los Angeles, the project also features collaborations with TAVE, Fred Cox, V-Ron, alongside longtime collaborators Pip Millett and Darryl Dodoo.

Born in Croydon and now based in Kent, Tia Gordon has quickly become one of the UK’s most exciting emerging soul artists, building a loyal audience through emotionally honest songwriting and a rich, timeless sound. With over 500,000 monthly Spotify listeners and support from artists including Mahalia and Mabel, i asked the stars for this. x marks another confident step forward in her rise.
