ILLAMAN x One Over Zero - Au Revoir (Single)

ILLAMAN and One Over Zero return with “Au Revoir”, the second single taken from their forthcoming collaborative project “Thanks, I’ve Been Dave” (out 29.05.26). Blending razor sharp lyricism with rich, cinematic production, the track captures the duo’s unmistakable chemistry, balancing introspection, energy and atmosphere in equal measure.

Following the momentum of their first release, “Au Revoir” pushes the sound further, with ILLAMAN’s commanding delivery sitting effortlessly over One Over Zero’s textured and immersive production. The result is a track that feels both deeply personal and sonically expansive, hinting at the depth still to come from the project.

One Over Zero are a live hip hop production duo and rhythm section, consisting of instrumentalists Raph White (bass) and Pravvy Prav (drums). Between them they have played live for Jehst at Maida Vale, Foreign Beggars Live Band, Gentleman’s Dub Club, Pengshui, and have featured on records for Maverick Sabre, Jehst, Jorja Smith, Pengshui, Hussy Hicks (and many more).

This album is a time capsule of ILLAMAN’s memories from growing up on the Mozart Estate in West London during the 90's. It harks back to the grit and realness of a council estate, and about the unspoken truths of hardship. We get a view into the pirate radio sessions, buying an eighth of Thai Stick for £15 and smoking it at the bottom of the stairwell, mc'ing through a pair of headphones at a house party where the decks are balanced over the sink on a scaffold board. Its honest about the grind and the craft, life, love, loss, personal struggles and life’s challenges.

This is real hip hop, produced and played on real instruments. The use of samples on this album is few and far between.
