Tommy Richman - Changes (Single)

Tommy Richman returns with his first single of the year, “Changes,” alongside an accompanying visualiser, out now via ISO Supremacy / PULSE Records. The new release arrives in the midst of his stadium run as direct support for The Kid LAROI on the North American leg of the A PERFECT WORLD Tour. This fall, Tommy will also join Joji as direct support across all the European, Australian, and New Zealand dates of the Solaris Tour.

“Changes is a story about my mother being able to listen to music for the first time in her life and how she deals with it,“ Tommy says.

“Changes” marks a new chapter in Tommy’s career, inspired by his mother’s experience undergoing a life-changing surgery to regain her hearing. Recorded in Tokyo, the track finds Tommy reflecting on past instability and the frustration of not being able to fully communicate what he has been going through. Anchored by a steady ‘70s disco leaning groove and bright pop chords, his soulful crooning revisits moments of wishing he could help his mother better understand him. A funk laced bassline and psychedelic guitar solo then sweep in, creating space for layered harmonies that showcase his signature vocal range.
