Marla Kether is an artist, producer, DJ, and bassist for Little Simz. She began her career as a session bassist for Yazmin Lacey and Oscar Jerome, and as a core member of the live bands for Obongjayar and Loyle Carner. Her own music blends Congolese soukous, Candomblé rhythms from Brazil, and electronic music, resulting in a deeply rhythmic, hypnotic, live performance. Her DJ sets are a bass-led fusion of Kuduro, Dembow, Afro House, and global club sounds.
