East London producer and DJ IZCO builds momentum toward his debut album with new single Wonderluv, out now via Brownswood Recordings.

Following Japan Greatly and Strike a Pose, the track shifts into a softer, more romantic space. Built around a cleared sample from Leroy Hutson, Wonderluv captures the feeling of moving through the city in love. “This one is inspired by how it feels to walk around the city when you’re in love,” he says.

Taken from his debut album Powerscroft, out 1 May, the project is named after the street he grew up on and blends jungle, broken beat, grime, garage, dub and soul. Drawing on both new ideas and archive material, it offers a fluid, instinct led snapshot of his inner world.

A key figure in a new wave bringing soul back to the dancefloor, IZCO began producing at 11 before moving through grime and UK club music. He has worked with Capo Lee, Novelist and Reek0, and contributed to PinkPantheress’s Passion, alongside collaborations with Katy B and Greentea Peng.

Co founder of the Brighter Days Family collective and a former Rinse FM regular, he has toured globally with Nia Archives and played festivals including Glastonbury Festival, Outlook Festival and We Out Here Festival.

Described by IZCO as “what it feels like to be in my mind,” Powerscroft marks his most focused and fully realised project to date.
